The Eager Beavers R.F.C., typically referred to as the 'Beavers', is a Canadian rugby union Touring Side which was formed in late 2000. The club is amateur in status but is based upon the great touring sides of the rugby world such as the Barbarians.
All Club members must be invited to participate by the Club Executive and invitations are based on three criteria: having attended and played varsity rugby at a Quebec University, that the player exhibits a high enough standard of rugby to contribute to the club's performance, and that the player should behave appropriately on and off the pitch.
The Beavers first competed as a club in the New Orleans Rugby Football Club Mardi Gras Invitational tournament in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 14–16, 2001. Recent years have seen the club competing regularly in the Ft. Lauderdale Ruggerfest which is held each year in late February. In November 2006, the Beavers were crowned champions of the Tony Emery Invitational Tournament in Peterborough, Ontario.
